What is Mindful Martial Arts?
Mindful Martial Arts is an evidence-based program that teaches focus, emotional management, and healthy lifestyles to students. Our program also empowers teachers and parents with lessons to continue learning in the classroom. Many Dutchess County schools have booked 1-day workshops or 3-day residencies with us.
What do students learn?
- Noticing, identifying and expressing feelings through games and movement
- Breathing and meditation techniques for emotional management
- Martial arts techniques for mindfulness, focus
- Discussion of the benefits of health and fitness, especially in regards to emotional control.
- Safe, age-appropriate physical drills for focus, stress reduction and mindfulness
- We offer programs for grades K-6
